Guided walks 

Roma Street Parkland offers a wide variety of free guided walks led by our experienced and knowledgeable volunteer guides.

The walks vary in length and time and we are more than happy to tailor each walk to suit each group’s individual needs.

General walks

Take the chance to learn more about the different aspects of Roma Street Parkland by taking part in a guided walk.

These informative guided walks meander through the stunning displays of the Spectacle Garden, into the misty Fern Gully and down by the lake, past Pandanus Headland. There is also an opportunity to take a closer look at some pieces of art and other sights the Parkland has to offer.

General daily walks depart from The Hub (map ref) at 10am and 2pm and run for 1 hour throughout the Parkland.

Bookings are only essential for groups of 10 or more and 4 weeks notice is required.

Out & about with bub

Designed for children under 5 and their carers, follow winding paths through colourful gardens, see playful water features, stroll along the banks of the lake which is home to the resident ducks  and whoop it up at the playground.

'Out & about with bub' walks run for 45 minutes and are stroller friendly. Walks depart from Mélange every Wednesday and Friday at 10am.

Bookings are not essential but some playgroups should advise the Parkland if there are more than 10 carers with strollers. For more information, download the 'Out & about with bub' flyer.
